Ep. 1 of my Blind Frackin' Universe True HC series is coming soon!

Hey there! Sorry for the delay.

Microsoft decided that it'd be funny to erase the 12 hours I spent editing in Clipchamp, so I moved to DaVinci Resolve as my new editing software. Lemme tell ya, DaVinci is AWESOME!

I used to hate editing videos, but DaVinci has me wanting to edit Starbound more than I want to play it. I don't have much free time this week, but I think next weekend I should be able to finish with episode 1!

For anyone confused, I'm doing a blind Frackin' Universe playthrough on hardcore*. I've got a bad habit of trying to first-try every new thing I do on the hardest difficulty. It has yet to work, so I'm hoping that this series will actually be finished deathless.

* In Frackin’ Universe, even death on hardcore lets you respawn. I'm not doing that. Death = Death, and the series will end. Even if that's only on episode 2.

GREAT game, however...

Hi! To whomever created this game, it's amazing! I really love it, and would love to see more levels, and perhaps even a community level editor?

Also, the game seems very quickly thrown together. There are only a few solids, all seeming to share the same attributes, even when it makes no sense. It works, but it's not good.

In level 8 of Shared, you can clip through the bottom of the movable brick. That's likely how other runners like u/Livid_Replacement579 got their times. (Livid, you are a CRAZY good opponent, props to ya!)

Commendations

The Shared levels are amazing. Besides level 1. That sucks.

Techno Rocket (or "Busy Rocket" according to the main menu) is a speedrunning masterpiece. I have sunk hours into this game despite only discovering it only two days ago! (5/4/26) For a speedrunning game, the Shared levels are mostly fun to play and require skill as opposed to dumb luck and 400 attempts (as seen in some Basic levels) to pull off.

Criticisms

Before I start, I want to make sure that you don't take this offensively. I intend no hate to you, the creator! I want to exclaim how bad some of these issues are so that they get fixed, not be an arse.

The Basic levels are not good. Levels 1-10 are okay, but levels 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 are actually not fun to play, and make this fun game genuinely a BOTHER to play...

11 is a level in which you either do the most insane timings to get to the goal, or spend around a hundred seconds just edging along the course floor to the goal. It's not designed well at all. (I got close a few times with the crazy timing, but only after HOURS of attempts)

12 is truly one of the worst levels. You just fly up to a random height and fall. You just have to try for dozens of minutes to find the perfect height.

13 is another level that just sucks. There's no skill to it, just ram into the boxes at full speed and wait for 18:00 for the stupid truck to arrive.

15 isn't even worth the time to talk about. You've brought a walking simulator into a SPEEDRUNNING GAME.

16 is the worst. First of all, forcing a player to wait in a speedrunning game is a 100% no, but that's in the level anyways. The worse part is that the catcher isn't even attached to the player.
