Miyoo Mini Plus or MagicX mini Zero 28? which one would you recommend as a DAP?

Hello! basically the title. I already own a RG40XXV and tried to take it out with me to use as a DAP, but it's kinda big and uncomfortable for that. So I was thinking on selling it and getting a smaller one, and these two seemed to be my best bet from what I can get around in my country: Miyoo Mini Plus and MagicX Mini Zero 28.

Both consoles look really cool and are priced more or less the same, so I can't decide (and I saw some really cool pics on this subreddit that makes the decision even harder lol)

My highest priorities are:

  1. Small size to use it with one hand, so I can easily swap tracks, change volume or whatever even while riding on a crowded subway train.
  2. Good sleep mode that saves battery without the need to turn it off.
  3. Great for gaming up to PSX, but more importantly 8 and 16 bit systems.

Bonus points if it's something that I can use with hands-free controls! like stopping a track from the mic button on my headphones? or change volume from there as well (my RG40XXV doesn't register those inputs at all)

I'm more inclined on getting the Mini Zero 28: since it's based on android I heard that it's super easy to put it on sleep (just like a phone), I'm assuming it will register the buttons on my headphones with no problem and I also had a console roughly of the same size that was really comfortable to use

...but the Miyoo has really cool aesthetics and I heard the controls are really really good. Like it could be a more comfortable console than the Mini Zero 28? for gaming, at least. Maybe a worse DAP? It's a little bigger than the MagicX as well. More importantly, I don't know about the sleep mode, if the battery last or if it has to rely on shutting down to save power.

what are your thoughts? did you had any of these consoles? better yet, did you used both? Any insights would be greatly appreciatted! thanks in advance!

PD: hope my english is not too terrible to read lol

Hello! basically the title

I have a RG40XXV, I was wondering in terms of putting the device to sleep and resume a game, which one is more convenient for this device? I want to be able to take it with me when I go out and turn it on/off during the day without consuming the battery too much.

I'm having a bit of trouble tracking all the workarounds with RGXX devices regarding the Sleep Mode in particular, and some of the information i have seems to be old already:

  • From what I found out in the Knulli discord server, it appears custom OS don't have access to how the system handles sleep modes? like it's not -really- in sleep mode?
  • StockOS apparently does this well but, well, it's the Stock OS. It doesn't have much customization, so if that's the only one guess i'll look for a custom image.
  • I have heard that MustardOS apparently has a way to put your device to sleep (specially good in the RG35XXSP, which does so closing the lid) and after a certain period of time passes, it directly shuts down to save more power, is this right? and you can customize how many minutes it will stay asleep until it turns off. I'm guessing it's not exclusive for the SP and you can do the same with devices from the same family

Anyone here found a solution regarding this? Maybe in another OS like Garlic, Spruce, using MinUI? any tips would be appreciated!
