Reminiscing of Early 2000s

I've taken the task of creating a spreadsheet chronicling all of the concerts I've been to spanning mostly from 2003 to present; I'm at about 80 give or take a few that I can't remember the details of. I relied heavily on setlist.fm to verify the dates and venue names.

I grew up in an adjacent LA area and frequented smaller venues like Chain Reaction, and the Glass House, as well as larger LA venues like the Wiltern, Hollywood Palladium, HOBs... etc. Growing up, I became entrenched in the emo/pop punk scene; I was an avid Alt Press subscriber for over a decade beginning in 2001, even wanting to study journalism to become a music journalist. Unfortunately, I didn't follow this dream but did study something similar. I have always love writing, literature, and music; these are cornerstones that have been my passion since I was young. As I got older, I continued to go to as many shows as I could afford. I've worked a couple of Warped Tours, as well as volunteered for Coachella in the past.

Reading books like Where Are Your Boys Tonight, Nothing Feels Good, and Negatives inspires me to explore and revisit my own past. I guess the point of this post is that I am thinking of starting a personal blog about growing up in the early 2000s scene in LA. I might hint on points of race and gender, as these are particularly personal for me; however, I don't want them to be the overarching themes. I'd like to know what people in this sub think of this idea, and if even there would be an audience. I definitely don't want to come off or seem entitled, as an all speaking voice of the scene, but rather just want a place to share my personal stories and experiences. If this is something that ends up just being for me personally, I'm happy with that. But if there are people who would like to read and reminisce about the scene, I would like to make that connection.

Any feedback would be appreciated ❤️
