I coparent a 5 year old long distance (about 4 hours). I’m in a long term relationship and she thinks we talk too much and should do parallel parenting. She also says I don’t show respect of our relationship with my coparent. Idk maybe she’s wrong maybe I am. I think if it’s only about the child it’s fine but I must admit we’ve crossed boundaries in the past but it’s currently been about only our kid for some months now. I don’t have custody so until I do I feel I need to keep the peace with her so my time isn’t limited with my kid. Do you talk to each other daily? Throughout the day? Does time matter like early or late or instant responses? My ex will send pictures of their school work and tell me about things that went on in our child’s day and send pictures daily. Just interested to hear from other coparents.
