Homeowner living along gulf coast of Florida around Tampa area.

What would be the best insulation for this scenario?

Concrete block exterior wall with 3/4” furring strips. Exterior is stucco with paint.

Plan to put 1/2” drywall.

Stuff there is unfaced fiberglass with plastic sheeting which looks to be original from the 70’s when house was built.

Would best be stick with unfaced and skip the plastic?From what I can find the plastic idea is outdated and the exterior of the house is supposed to act as vapor barrier given climate down here (outside is warmer than interior 97% of the year)
