I was just flossing to get some food out from between my teeth and had this come out of my mouth. It looks like the back bottom part of my tooth, is this part of my actual tooth or jist some unfortunate plaque build up that has come away? Please help.

Update: thank you everyone, as you can probably tell I've been more than a little lax with dental hygiene and have only just started to focus on improving it. I will make a dental appointment for a cleaning as soon as they are open again on Monday.
