Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some genuine guidance and perspectives from people who have been through a similar path.
I completed my B.Tech in CSE in 2022 and have been working in a corporate role since then. Now I’m planning to go for higher studies, mainly in Data Science / AI / ML, but I want to make a well-informed decision before moving ahead.
I’m currently considering private universities in Delhi NCR only (like Shiv Nadar, Jaypee, Amity Noida/Gurugram, Bennett, etc.), and I want to understand:
- Which universities in NCR are actually better in terms of:
- Practical exposure (projects, real-world learning)
- Coding/technical environment
- Opportunities, assuming the student also puts in serious effort
- Between M.Tech vs M.Sc (Data Science / AI / ML):
- Which one makes more sense for someone with a B.Tech in CSE
- Which is better for getting into a technical role (not management)
- And which path is more helpful if I want to work in India or abroad
- How much does the choice of university really matter vs skills/projects, especially for someone trying to restart in a more technical direction?
I understand that for freshers it’s not easy to get a great job immediately, but my goal is to build a strong technical profile and eventually work on meaningful responsibilities, not just any entry-level role.
Any personal experiences, insights, or mistakes to avoid would really help.
Thanks in advance!
