I’m shipping to BCT/AIT soon and had a question about dependents living overseas during training.

Before anyone assumes I’m trying to hide something, my recruiter is already aware of the situation. I’m mainly trying to verify whether what I was told aligns with Army policy and whether there is anything else I need to report later.

My wife and kids are all U.S. citizens. While I complete BCT and AIT, my wife wants to stay with family outside the U.S. because our kids are very young (2 years old and 6 months old) and she’ll have family support there that we currently do not have in the States.

My recruiter told me I do not need to report anything additional right now and that my BAH/BAS would still be based on my U.S. home of record/address while I’m in training.

My question is whether there is anything else I’m supposed to report once I get to BCT/AIT, finance, or security clearance processing, and if so, at what point in the process would I do that?

Again, I’m not trying to hide anything. I just want to make sure I handle everything correctly and do not run into issues later. My recruiter was somewhat sloppy during my processes and I don't fully trust him with the information.

Thanks all who took the time to read

Edit: I forgot to add that we live in an apartment and I will be using my orders to break the lease so we will not have an apartment in the States while I’m on training and until I get my duty station. We will need to pay for June only based on what our apartment manager told us since I ship out May 27th

Took a break for about 3 months, decided to try today since premium just hit $5.99 in my area (north fucking Carolina) and I see things took a turn for the worse? Like do these people not drive around during the day and see gas prices? I fucking hate people and their lack of reasoning and lack of empathy
