Hey everyone!

I (24F)work as an Art Licensing Agent for a small business in my state. I’m about 7 months in and it’s a really great job! For those who don’t know what I do, I’m in sales. I’m sort of like what a movie agent is to an actor, but for up and coming artists.

A lot of my job is communicating with customers and artists. We primarily operate through emails, and an occasional phone call. My boss (M30something) came to me today and said to try ChatGPT for writing my customer reach out emails. Personally, I HATE AI. It’s turning everyone lazy, taking jobs from creatives and intelligent people while also DESTROYING OUR PLANET.

Unfortunately my job uses A LOT of AI. “Artists” submit AI work for puzzles, and diamond art kits and stuff that does not need to have AI slop on it. My job could actually function without AI all together, but the amount of money it brings in is the only thing my bosses focus on. I don’t use AI day to day, I’ve switched my search engines on all devices to avoid the useless use of AI and as you can probably tell by now I’m not one who advocates for its use in any way.

I love my job and would love to find a solution, so how do I go about saying no to using ChatGPT for my day to day emails??
