This raised red bump appeared on my right forearm suddenly and grew to the size it is now (about half the size of a pea) within 2 weeks. I showed it to a dermatologist when I had a skin tag removed and she looked at it quickly and said it’s an angioma and asked if I had kids b/c they’re more common in pregnant women. I said no and that it appeared suddenly and she told me it’s nothing to worry about.
It has since grown slightly larger, dry/cracked, is tender when I touch it too much, and has turned brown/purple on part of it. The color change started about a week ago and has not gone away…should I be concerned?
I’m honestly a bit embarrassed of it too. I put a bandaid on it sometimes to hide it in public. How would I go about having it removed with minimal scarring?
I’m a 28yr female and have never had anything like this before.
Thank you for any advice!
