Throwaway because I’m desperately worried about my reputation and this getting out.

I take the bus to and from my college and twice a week I get out very late. Yesterday night was one of those days. I got on the bus around 4pm which means I don’t get home till about 5:30. I was sitting in my seat and then a guy about 2x my size sits next to me. Which is fine because the bus is packed.

However he starts to shift his weight forward onto me even when more seats start to open up until he is almost fully on top of me. Then he tries to feel me up with one hand and wrap his other arm around
me and has me pushed into the wall of the bus.

I’m a previous SA survivor and so I panicked and elbowed him to try and get him off but he wouldn’t budge and kept trying. But after 5 minutes of this and me desperately looking around the bus to try and get someone to help he finally gets off me and walks off the bus.

Then today, I’m leaving class on one of my shorter days and get to my bus stop to wait which is empty. And then I look up to see where my bus is because it’s supposed to be here already and I see him approaching me. Which means he goes to my school because the stop is on campus. I panic again and start walking away but thankfully my bus comes and I get on.

I’m only 20 and my family is insisting I report him right away but I don’t have a name or a photo of him. Just a description and thats the part that makes me wary of reporting. I am white and he is black and I’m desperately afraid of being accused of racism when theres only a week of the semester left. I could ruin my future if I report and people think it a false racist report. My college has very strict rules around things like diversity and mistreatment of fellow students.

I’m terrified and don’t know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
