Best Country to Visit Next as a Female Solo Traveler

I’m 31F and a VA. Here’s my travel history and experience:

Taiwan (2025) — traveled with my friend. Immigration only asked about my return flight details. Food was cheap, people were nice, and transportation was easy to use and navigate (trains, bikes). We only explored Taipei and nearby attractions.

Hong Kong/Macau (2026) — traveled with my friend and her parents. Immigration only asked about my job, travel history, and return date. HK was quite overwhelming for me — everything felt very fast-paced. A lot of people didn’t communicate well in English, which was a bit frustrating for me. Still, the MTR was easy to use. We got lost in Macau because we boarded the wrong bus, but there was so much to see in both HK and Macau. Busog na busog ang mga mata ko. The food was pricey but delicious. Everywhere also seemed to smell like perfume.

I had a great time visiting these two countries, but the trip was tiring because I followed a strict itinerary to accommodate my friend and her parents. It felt like I was trying to complete a checklist.

Now, I want to try solo travel so I can change my plans whenever I don’t feel like following through with something. I want to travel at my own pace. I’m good with navigation, so I’m confident I won’t get completely lost — and even if I do, I’m sure I can find my way.

What country would you suggest I visit solo by the end of this year? Somewhere in Asia lang siguro muna.
