am I overthinking? m17's crush has a boy best friend
throwaway because my friends have my main and our school is tiny so they'll know who I'm talking about and I'm trying to keep it on the dl
gang I think it might actually be over 💀 not seriously but I wonder if this is something I should be worried about. there's this girl (17F) who I liked for a while, I asked for her number three weeks ago and she gave it to me. she also mentioned something later abt being pleasantly surprised cause guys usually ask for snap so maybe a point in my favor idk.
we talk every day at school and online a bit, she's really really pretty at least to me but she's kinda quiet so she only has like two friends, one of which is a guy. he's the one she spends most of her time with, everyone at our school knows they're best friends cause they're together all the time. they've been friends for like four years and people thought they were dating for a while but every time someone asked, they both react with disgust.
I've hung out with them together a few times and the guy seems chill, he's never been weird about me and my crush mentioned to me a couple times that she's happy we get along (apparently that's been an issue before?).
my one thing is that when I say they're together all the time, I mean ALL THE TIME. they coordinated their class schedules so they could have most of their classes together, they eat lunch together and hang out all the time outside of school. sometimes they eat with their other friend (my crush, the guy, and their other female friend are like a trio but friend has a bf) and her bf so it kinda looks like they're on a double date.
I tried to tentatively bring it up to her a couple of times, but she doesn't really seem to get what I mean. I don't want her to stop hanging out with him or for them to stop being friends or anything, but like is it weird that she's super close with this guy?
I really like her, I think she's the prettiest in the world and when I listen to her talk in class she's always so smart. she has the sweetest personality, she loves books so I started reading anne of green gables (I'm liking it a surprising amount, marilla is mad funny) cause she said it's one of her favorites, I'm genuinely so whipped AGHHHHHH 😔 am I overthinking this whole thing😭??
