I love the movie Flight of the Navigator and so when I saw there was a documentary on Amazon called Life After the Navigator, I actually paid money to watch it (FYI, free if you have Paramount subscription, but I don't). So full disclosure, I didn't know that the kid in the move had gone to jail for bank robbery and had a really serious issue with drugs. Spoiler alert, he seems to be in a much better place for himself now, so kudos to him.
But anyway, I'm watching this documentary and they're interviewing his mom and come to find out she purposely got pregnant with him (with the full knowledge of the "known" donor), early 1970s, because she wanted to be a mother and wasn't much interested in the traditional family/marriage route. So I was all, cool!! SMBC!! And then she goes on to talk about that's why he likes to steal stuff and how children without fathers were more likely to be thieves and I was all, what the fuuuuuuuuuudge (because I have, you know, a five year old in the house so I couldn't say what I was really thinking).
I am just so disappointed!
