I'm having trouble with my RMR HD coming loose from my Nighthawk IOS plate. I've tried blue loctite 243, the gluestick form of blue loctite, vibratite, and even putting E6000 between the optic and the plate. Inevitably the screws start coming loose. This most recent time it lasted 900-1000 rounds with blue loctite + E6000.
I'm following all the recommendations: cleaning/degreasing the screws and threads, torquing to 15 in-lbs. Even tried brand new screws from McMaster.
I'm only having these problems with this gun/plate. I do the same thing when mounting optics to my Staccatos, Glocks, and other pistols and all have done fine over thousands of rounds. For whatever reason this optic just doesn't want to stay on.
Any ideas before I say screw it and use red loctite? I do have a soldering iron so I can use heat to remove it if needed.
Edit: I'm using 6-32 x 7/16" screws that are included with the IOS plate
