Xbox Crash Update

Xbox Crash Update

## Xbox Crash Update

We wanted to share an update on the Xbox crashes some players have been experiencing, especially crashes that happen when suspending and resuming the game.

After investigation, we’ve identified a root cause affecting a lot of these crashes. Microsoft has confirmed there is a regression in the April 2026 Xbox Game Development Kit that can cause crashes during resume. They are preparing a fix, which is expected to be included in the April 2026 Game Development Kit Update 1 next week.

Once that fix is available, we’ll work on integrating it and getting it into a future Path of Titans update as soon as we can.

Thank you to everyone who sent reports and details. We know these crashes are frustrating, and we appreciate your patience while we work through them.

As always if you are having issues with the game on Xbox please let us know via <#1150510168073850971> or support ticket.

## Balance Update (5th May 2026)

**Please note that this will take some time to roll out to all servers as they restart over the next few hours**

# Food and Combat Changes

## Body Food Amounts:

We have decreased the amount of food all player bodies and critter bodies provide. This change has been tested on the game back in early March and kept on official servers for several weeks before they were removed in the Metri update. We are reintegrating the changes with the goal of decreasing how much food is readily accessible. The game will be getting additional changes in the next major patch to supplement it.

## Metriacanthosaurus:

- Default bite now deals 25 base damage (from 20)

- Default bite now has a 15% damage buff at night (from 10%)

- Noxious Frenzy now only requires 10 stacks (from 15)

**Dev Note:** We have adjusted Metriacanthosaurus' base bite and Noxious Frenzy to be stronger and more usable compared to other attack options. We are aware of issues this dinosaur is facing with some of its peers such as Pycnonemosaurus and Allosaurus. There are planned adjustments to these two that will be coming in the future. All of the changes combined should give our Metri players some more breathing room.

## Tylosaurus:

- Increased Headbutt cooldown to 8 seconds (from 7)

- Decreased Hardskull AoE damage to 30% (from 50%)

- Decreased Feral Instincts Damage Buff to 10% (from 20%)

**Dev Note:** Tylosaurus has seen a decreased to its Feral Instincts sense ability to make it less universally picked and give breathing room to some of the larger semi aquatics. Headbutt has seen a small cooldown increase and Hardskull now deals less AoE damage to allow smaller aquatics more interaction with it. We will be keeping an eye out and seeing what further adjustments Tylosaurus needs to make it more fair to interact with for other dinosaurs.

## Tyrannotitan:

- Decreased Base Bite Bleed Amount to .4 (from .55)

- Increased Terrifying Presence Stamina Cost to 20 (from 8)

- Decreased Skydiver Fall Damage Reduction to 20% (from 40%)

- Increased Food/Water Drain to 40 minutes (from 60+)

**Dev Note:** Tyrannotitan has seen a decrease to its bleed output and Terrifying Presence now has a much heftier stamina cost. This should make Titans less likely to outperform its 5 slot peers. Skydiver reduction should allow smaller playables more options to escape from a pursuing Titan. Additionally Titan's planned food/water change has been implemented to make it less able to heal stall as reliably. The design team will be keeping an eye out if Titan needs any further balance tweaks following this and the rest of the upcoming food/water changes.

I’ll get the other six to make a large brood later, but for now small is the size I’ve been using in 1k games.
