Thanks to the members here I have sourced a genuine plate for inside the lid and a new gas valve cover. The brand new ones were too nice to fit to this well used lighter so I’ve rotated a couple around from my others that are in better condition. Now I need to give it a good clean and maybe work out why the lid is binding against the side when it closes (one side of the hind looks a little misshapen)

This will certainly be a nice lighter to have in my pocket on a daily basis

Hi everyone. I recently purchased this fairly well used Ligne 2 knowing that it had a couple of missing parts. I thought it would make a good daily lighter and possible restoration project. I was pleasantly surprised that it holds gas and functions well!

Can anyone recommend a reliable source of genuine parts? It obviously needs a replacement gas refill cap but it also needs a plate (with screw) inside the lid. As always all help is very much appreciated and thank you in advance

*edit - I’m in the UK

What do you guys do when you see fake lighters for sale at full prices? Do you message the sellers to let them know that they are fake in case they don’t realise? Just curious but here’s an example:

As my wife has started to enjoy an occasional cigar I thought that “his and hers” lighters would be a nice touch for when we visit a lounge. They both work really well and are in fairly used condition but still look and feel lovely.

Honestly I think I’m starting to prefer the L1’s to the L2’s. Something about the dimensions and how solid they are.

I am pleased to say that I have successfully serviced a ST DuPont for the first time! This beautiful lighter is ready again for action

If you check out my previous post I used some silicone oil on the seals and replaced the PTFE tape inside the regulator.

Adding to my previous post, I have now received the correct tools and have stripped my Ligne 2. I have some new seals on their way from a member here but in the meantime time I’m wondering if you can use any oil to refresh the existing seals? When I purchased the lighter it was fully serviced and the seals look to be in good condition. I am wondering if some oil could be used to refresh them? I shoot airguns for example and use a silicone oil on the seals for those to keep them fresh. As always any help from our resident experts is hugely appreciated
