Can anyone explain how to get liability insurance coverage when I rent a 26' U-Haul truck? People at the rental counter don't know what liability insurance is. My insurance broker never heard of getting a separate policy to cover a U-Haul truck rental because the truck is not owned by me they don't know how to cover a rental. I just want to not be in trouble if I get into an accident and someone else gets damage. U-haul has a "Safemove" coverage that only covers the truck, contents and the people in the truck.
