Just got back from a service appointment in Germany and got back with the following:
Technician notes:
- Pre-inspection for the main technical inspection (TÜV) carried out and headlights adjusted
- The following defects were recorded:
- Upper control arm rear axle bushings loose
- Upper joint of rear right steering knuckle has increased play
- Bushings on all lower control arms of the front axle cracked
- Brake contact pattern on all brake discs insufficient
- tir e showing initial cracking
- Rear right tir e damaged (carcass visible)
Repair costs: 4,000€ - whoa! Im not really well informed when it comes to cars - but this seems a little bit expensive for just some repairs on the chassis, no? Do some of you have experience here and can say whether this is realistic?
