My friend is graduating in may and recently got an entry-level job offer with Boeing after one “lovely” interview where they were “a top applicant” and the interview went 30 minutes over. The job offer arrives 3 days later.
This was for an entry level job doing electrical work on an aerospace navigation system, they will have an aerospace engineering degree. There is no sign on bonus and no relocation assistance. And the pay is below base pay average.
How does one go about asking for higher pay and also asking for a signing extension of a month to accommodate coursework, graduation, and possibly other job offers as other interviews are scheduled 1-2 weeks out.
Also this offer is kind of insulting after a stellar interview with below base pay for said position.
