Need some inputs regarding Tatkal Passport
Hi, I (F22) had a few questions regarding my Tatkal passport reissuance application.
My purse was stolen some time ago, and I had filed a police complaint at the police station. They provided me with a stamped copy of the complaint along with a three-digit case number. I wanted to know if that would be acceptable for the Tatkal passport reissuance process.
Secondly, since I was born at home, I do not have a municipal corporation birth certificate. However, I do have legal documents signed and approved by a First Class Magistrate stating my place and details of birth. Would that be accepted as valid birth proof?
Lastly, I wanted to confirm whether there would be any issue with the timeline. I filed the police complaint on the 5th, and my passport appointment is on the 25th. I’m currently waiting for a few documents, including a reprinted PAN card and the renewal of my rent agreement for this year. I just wanted to make sure this gap in dates would not cause any delay or issue with the application process.
