Hi everyone,

I'm a professional developer and I'm currently trying to set up a new Etsy shop for my jewelry business. To keep my business operations separate and secure, I rented a Hetzner VPS located in Nuremberg, Germany.

However, I've hit a wall before even completing the registration:

1. Initial Error: Using Brave browser on the VPS, I filled out the registration form but kept getting: "Sorry! There was a problem on our end. Please try registering again or email support@etsy.com for assistance."
2. Mistake: To debug, I opened the DevTools Network tab to see if it was a 403 or a validation error.
3. The Result: Shortly after, the register page now shows: "Access is temporarily restricted" citing unusual activity, including "Use of developer or inspection tools."

My Questions:

• Is it a known "red flag" to manage or register an Etsy shop through a Hetzner/Data Center IP?
• Does Etsy's security system automatically flag Brave's fingerprinting protection or DevTools usage as bot activity?
• If a VPS is a bad idea, what do you recommend for a stable, dedicated setup? Should I look for a provider that offers Residential IPs instead of Data Center ones?

I’d appreciate any insights from sellers who use remote setups. I want to make sure I start on the right foot without getting my account permanently suspended.
