I’m going to India this summer from America after 6 years and family currently has zero travel plans except maybe Rameshwaram. Most of our family lives in Tirupati. But I REALLY want to visit Kamakhya Temple somehow.

Problem is my dad doesn’t even know much about the place, so convincing him itself feels impossible 💀. The moment I mention Assam he’ll probably think it’s too far/random.

I’m not changing my mind about going though 😭. Anyone who went before — what’s the easiest/smartest way to go from Bangalore/Hyderabad side? And how many days are enough without rushing? I’m ready to go even alone (19F)

My parents aren’t just asking about my grades, they want me to log into R’Web in front of them so they can scroll through everything.

I’m not comfortable with that. I’m fine sharing general updates or summaries, but giving that level of access feels like too much.

In my family, saying no turns into “what are you hiding,” so it escalates fast.

Has anyone dealt with this? How do you handle it in the moment when they say “open it right now”?

I’m in a situation where my parents are asking to see my RWEB login so they can check my grades. The thing is… I really don’t feel comfortable sharing that.

I don’t mind them seeing my Canvas updates or general progress, but giving full login access feels like too much. Especially because my first quarter grades weren’t great, and I’m already working on improving them this quarter.

In my family, “boundaries” don’t really land well. It usually turns into “why are you hiding something?” even when I’m not trying to hide anything, just trying to keep some privacy.

I don’t want to disappoint them or make it a big conflict, but I also don’t want to give up full access to my account.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? How do you de-escalate things?
