Working on getting my MMC and have an upcoming medical exam, I understand they will test hearing and vision but just wondering what to expect when I go in and if there is any thing else I should be prepared for

Only thing I’m worried about is the hearing test, I cheaped out on hearing protection at the firing range about 2 months ago, used the radar dish plugs and didn’t notice the one in my left ear had gradually slipped out over the course of a 2 hour session. It’s gotten a bit better I have some tinnitus that comes and goes, loud environments (over 95dB) and some sounds like water running in the shower give me some static. I’ve done self tests at home with full spectrum frequency sweeps and I definitely lost some hearing in the 5kHz - 12kHZ area but it’s not gone completely, so I hope that’s not a deal breaker in passing the exam

Hello all,

Was wondering if someone might be able to point me in the right direction of getting her discharge corrected and getting her medical issues taken care of, I have started looking over her paperwork and it seems like they royally screwed her.

In 2019 she was discharged from the Army a few months after graduating boot camp while stationed in Fort Lee, VA. While there it was found she had stress fractures in her hips that came about during a 40 mile march in boot camp, from what I understand they did X-rays on her in Fort Lee, found the issue, and then discharged her afterwards when she started having mobility issues. She had no issues prior to enlisting.

Her discharge papers show the following:

Discharge

Uncharacterized

Separation Code: JFW

Reentry Code: 3

If anyone could help with information on what we can do I’d be extremely grateful, she has pain in her hips that have gotten worse in the last few years and she can’t walk for more than a block or 2 without having to stop. Is there anything that can be done?
