Can I leave this much paste on or should I get it off

My cpu came off with the heat sink, no pins seem to be bent but idk how to soften the paste so I have it on a warming element. And I did try to turn it on before but I got dragged away by something and apparently the cpu already came out before I left so it cooled off with cpu still attached.
