Sudden onset of aggression?
We have had this single guinea bird for several years. Our neighbors moved and left it, so she integrated into our flock of birds. We have chickens, turkeys, and ducks. She has always been mildly petty. Occasionally pecking or pulling on other birds' feathers.
However, this morning, she was viciously attacking my rooster. When I managed to catch her to stop the attack, she had blood all over her beak and face, and he was bleeding from the neck.
I have isolated her for now but wondered if there could be an underlying issue? She's always been somewhat aggressive, but this is her first attempt to actually kill another bird.
