Hi i got married in 2025 june in an AM setup. Everything is fine with us but is it common for wives to call their mother like 5 times a day and keep giving updates on what's happening in our house and our life to their mom? I feel I don't have any privacy and my mil knows every bit of details what's happening here. Also I noticed when my wife goes to her parents house for a few days she barely calls me more than once in a day. I don't get any updates on what's happening in their house. I notice my wife doesn't listen to me if I give a good advice. But listens to her mom's advice without even thinking.
When I am out with my wife, my wife complains often that I don't call my mom to inform what I am doing. I just don't call my parents often. Sometimes I have bashed out on my wife when she isn't able to make any decisions for herself. I said "call your mom 5 times a day she will decide for you". Now I wish I had an independent woman as my partner and not a mom's pet. Anybody faced same situation?
