Hi everyone,

I graduated from my MBA about 10 days ago (and applied for work permit the same day) and just received my PGWP applied status / maintained status letter from IRCC.

Walmart emailed me asking for either a valid study permit or an open work permit after I got an offer for an OMNI Fulfilment Associate Position. I have my current study permit (which isn't valid anymore considering I graduated) and the applied status letter (makes me eligible for work), but I have not received the physical PGWP yet. Considering the current guidelines, I should be receiving a PGWP valid for 3 years.

The applied status letter says I can work until October 12, 2026, or until a decision is made, whichever comes first. This is longer than the 90 day expiry limit Walmart mentioned for the work permit anyway.

Is what I have usually okay for Walmart/Workday, or could this affect whether I get the job?

Hi everyone,

I recently accepted a part time OMNI Customer Fulfillment Associate offer at Walmart Canada. In the offer letter, it says I need to read Walmart’s Code of Conduct and return the Code of Conduct Acknowledgment along with my signed offer.

I checked my candidate portal and all tasks are now completed. It shows To Do: 0 and Completed: 6. The completed tasks include Review Documents, Temporary Foreign Work Permit Information, Personal Information, National ID, Total Rewards, and Candidate Review Offer Letter.

I could not find a separate document specifically called “Code of Conduct Acknowledgment,” so I’m wondering if it was included inside the Review Documents task or completed as part of the offer review process.

Has anyone gone through Walmart Canada onboarding recently? If all tasks show completed, does that mean the Code of Conduct acknowledgment is done too, or should I still contact the hiring manager?

Thanks!
