I [19f] broke up with my ex [21m] about a week ago after a 3.5 year relationship. We both loved each other a lot, but he was incredibly immature and could be selfish at times. He was also bad at showing that he cared, he never planned dates, forgot flowers for anniversaries/valentine’s day, and would often choose to hang out with me in a group with his friends. He seemed to prioritize video games and hanging out with friends over me, often not even speaking to me when in a room full of our friends. That being said, I had a good time when we were alone, and we had a similar sense of humor so we got along super well. When I broke up with him, he said he wanted to stay friends. I still talk to his friends and we’re in the same friend group. Should i take time to heal then stay friends with my ex? Would it be a bad idea to hang out with him in a group in a few months?
