I’m a ftm to a 5 week old. We’ve been cosleeping since birth following the safe sleep 7 to the best of my ability. Something I’ve been struggling with is getting baby in the perfect position to nurse while in the c-curl/side lying.

It’s so much easier for her to latch if I support her head in the crook of my arm, but I avoid doing that especially if I’m at risk of falling asleep because I’ve read that it’s unsafe for newborns.

However I’ve also seen people say that it’s okay to do that when baby is a few months or so. At what age is it okay to do that/what is the reasoning behind it? Tia.
