Why Do Compliments From Women Feel So Much More Meaningful Than Compliments From Men?

Not even in a romantic way. They just feel softer somehow. More genuine. Like a random girl complimenting your hair, smile, outfit, voice, or even your energy can genuinely make your whole week.

Meanwhile compliments from men, especially strangers, sometimes feel so normalized that they don’t emotionally land the same anymore. Not because men are always insincere, but because attention from them often comes with a different feeling attached to it.

Like randomly noticing a girl and finding her beautiful, or loving something about her energy, confidence, smile, the way she talks, or simply the way she exists. And maybe a small part of me hopes that somewhere, someone looks at me with that same softness too.Not even in a shallow validation-seeking way.More like wanting to be perceived with the same gentleness that you perceive others with.
