Hi! I frequently have these attacks that have landed me in the ER. Everytime i go they do an EKG which is normal and say it’s anxiety. My symptoms include: chest pain, back + neck pain, neck twitches, reflux, chest tightness (can’t take a deep breath), feeling like having a heart attack, occasional vertigo, wanting to burp to feel relief, dark urine even though always hydrated. These are also worsened after I eat.

I have these symptoms mildly each day and they will occasionally get really bad where I feel like i’m going to die.

From everything I have read I feel like this could be a GB attack? What do you think? What would next steps be?

My boyfriend (26, 6’3, 225 pounds) has been struggling with “panic attacks” consistently for a few years. Starting around 2022, my boyfriend started getting these attacks where he feels short of breath, gets occasional vertigo, will have numbness in extremities, reflux, consistent burps that feel trapped for hours, feeling need to clear throat, and involuntary tics where his head jerks.

We have ended up in the ER multiple times where EKGS and blood tests have been normal. Doctors say it is anxiety and the ONLY thing that works is Ativan. He has taken variations of SSRIs before which have not helped, and he mentions he almost felt worse. He does not have any mental anxiety either. He is not on any medications.

These episodes are worsened after drinking alcohol, but the only way he can get them to decrease is to have a drink.

These episodes are consistent, every single day, but more “tolerable”. Every day I see him have these tics, weird burps/belches that seem trapped, and just being uncomfortable in his own body. He mentions sometimes even eating makes it worse?

We have reached out to a holistic doctor but it’s so expensive. I feel like it is nervous system dysregulation and gut related ? If anyone has ANY recommendations for supplements or anything to help, I would love anything. I just want him to feel some relief.?
