Does it make sense to buy the 10th ed. IG Codex now even if i want to start with 11th Edition when it releases?

I pre-ordered the Astra Militarum Armageddon Battalion box and thought I’d start Warhammer 40K with 11th edition.

Yesterday I also bought a Rogal Dorn tank because I just think it looks super cool with the two cannons (it reminded me of the Mammoth Tank from C&C, which is actually the reason I’m starting this, and I also really like the small armored vehicles from the box).

I have no experience with 40K, and now I’ve read that this kind of list might be unfair towards my opponent because of the two Rogal Dorns.

Now I’m worried that I might end up having a bad experience right from my first game.
