Thought experiment: What if we let rural America (small towns, villages, farms, rural communities) fully self-govern? Let them have their own laws, military, economy, constitution etc. with no support from the federal government?

From what I noticed it seems that the average farmer eavly disliked any kind of 'big city' governance and wants to be fully left alone and unbothered. This made me wonder, what if we fully left them alone, we don't ask anything from them but they can't also ask anything from us.

Imagine that you woke up as DNC head Ken Martin. You have a completly demoralized democrat party split among people that want the democrats to moderate more and people that want the democrats to go further left. How do you solve this problem considering midterms and 2028 is coming up?

Asked this question to multiple parties so I am curious about the answers from multiple sides

With the impact social media has on public cohesion, democracy, public order and other things, should social media companies be legally mandated to make their reccomendation algorithms public and available for everyone to see, use and research?

Let's be honest most software engineers and graduates are mediocre at best when it comes to coding, design etc. AI can already do a decent job at making mediocre code, so most people are afraid of their job being taken by AI are probably aware that they are mediocre workers.

The top engineers have nothing to worry about and most people overestimate their skills

Seems the US government sent their favorite influencer to Cuba to manufacture stories for right wing media to justify a US intervention.
