Cognizant trainer from hell!

Lowkey gusto ko lang mag rant kasi hanggang ngayon badtrip pa rin ako pag naaalala ko 😭

May trainer sa Cognizant pre-process comms training (5 days) na sobrang lala ng pagka-perfectionist. Tipong akala mo nasa masteral thesis defense kami at hindi lang onboarding/training for agents. Every single sentence kailangan super grammatically correct, dapat “proper English” all the time. Gets naman na communication skills are important, obviously. Pero yung approach niya? sobrang off.

Ang ironic pa kasi sinasabi niya na “don’t take it personally” and okay lang daw magkamali because that’s how we improve. Pero pag nagkamali ka kahit super minor lang, parang ginawa nang national issue 😭 sobrang overreactive and lowkey namamahiya talaga. Hindi mo mararamdaman na safe magkamali eh.

Tapos nung nag process training na kami, halos lahat ng wavemates ko napag-uusapan siya. As in same sentiments. So alam mong hindi lang isolated case or “sensitive” lang yung trainees. If you know, you know talaga.

Not even exaggerating, sobrang draining nung 5 days na yun to the point na pag naririnig ko boses niya naiirita agad ako 💀 Training is supposed to be engaging and helpful para ganahan yung tao matuto, pero naging straight up nightmare siya.

Sana lang talaga mas seryosohin ng management yung trainer evaluations/surveys kasi trainers can literally affect kung magiging okay yung buong onboarding experience ng tao or hindi.
