Learning to compete with my Shadow 2 compact vs HK VP9L

I know I’m just overthinking this, but I figured I’d getting some advice. I am finally getting into GPA and IDPA local matches. I have a Shadow 2 compact and a HK Vp9L with enough gear to start competing. I’m looking to commit to a platform for a little bit, but I’m stuck between the two. Last match I used the HK and it felt great in my hands but I feel like the s2c has a higher ceiling. At the same time, the trigger on the hk isn’t the best and shops flatter than cz. Should I stick to the hk and get $1500 buyers remorse or learn the CZ?

Finally got a pair of gridloks. On the way to the range as we speak.

Feels just like the griptape I put on the front of the grip and thumb rest. Gotta say I’m impressed already.

I need one can for the both of em

Looking for a can that can handle 9mm and 556. Really looking for the least amount of gas hitting me in the lungs, while still keeping the 9mm quiet. The 556 performance doesn’t need to be top of the line, really just want something to throw on here so the 11” barrel isn’t so loud. Maybe under $750? Any suggestions?

Edit: y’all mfers are ruthless. I just want something budget friendly for my pistols that can survive 556 if I put it on my AR for shits and gigs.
