I’m looking at prices for new windows and doors. Most coming in around 22k which is a bit more than anticipated. Will need to spend probably another 3k to avail of the €4600 grant back. Either way I am replacing the doors for new ones (3) I think the windows come to about 12/13 k in total. Just wondering and anyone repaired their existing windows recently and noticed a big difference? Structurally my windows are fine no damage to frames etc. just draughty and seals need replacing

Hi all, currently have a BER rating of C1. Looking at the new windows and doors grand of 4.6k but the BER report needs to be a B2. Just wondering if I add cavity wall insulation and extra attic insulation will this bring up the level to the required BER of B2 in order for the grant to apply??

Has anyone done this recently?
