My brother bought me a new Apple Watch Ultra 3 from Hong Kong as a present and did not realise that the Satellite Connection function would not be available.

I did some research on this topic, I found that the Ultra 3 model sold in Hong Kong is actually the same as the one sold elsewhere (except China).

Since I wanted to keep the watch, I loaded a US e-SIM and see what would happen.

After setting up the watch, the satellite connection function becomes available automatically.

However it wouldn't work if one uses a cellular service provider in Hong Kong but travels overseas.
