We’re stuck between both traditions which is my family all girls low key and his family both genders and party vibe

I understand he wants to celebrate with his family and friends but I don’t want it to be a party with a dj and loud music. He believes the event should be like a wedding. Where as I am used to the complete opposite and want something much more quieter. We’re stuck in the middle. Any suggestions?
