I've been annoyed for weeks by how I can lay wide awake for hours, and when I look at my RingConn stats in the morning, it says I was in REM. Usually I try to stay off my phone when I'm trying to go back to sleep, but last night I investigated.

At 4:46 last night, after laying awake for what felt like 30 minutes, I looked at RingConn, which said I'd been awake since 4:13. Okay, that's fine, 13 minutes might feel like 30 when you're staring at your ceiling.

I stayed awake for another 20 minutes- this is unquestionable, I wasn't dosing, I was reading. But when I looked at the app again at 5:06, it had reclassified what it previously knew was my awake time as REM until 4:45, and then light sleep after. The only awake time it didn't remove was the three minutes that I was actively using the RingConn app.

Why does the app reclassify awake time as sleep later? Is there any way to stop it from doing that? Also, are there any hints on how to get accurate readings in general? I've been wearing it consistently since February.
