I’m pretty new to victoria, i moved here from the mainland in october but i lived in up island for my teen years. In the last month and a half, i have had nose bleeds every 2-3 days and my nose is so dry. I’ve never even had 1 nose bleed in my life until now. Is the air here really dry? Is this anyone else’s experience? Is it just my house? Just had a 10 minute long one in the middle of the hillside walmart parking lot lol

I’ve been on lamotrigine for at least a year and a half now for mental health issues regarding mood swings, PTSD ish issues, bipolar ish issues, (figuring out what’s wrong with me is still in the works). It really truly has changed my life and made me able to function so much better, i’ve only had 2-3 depressions since i started which is huge for me. I really do not want to go off of it, however, the sleep disturbances will not stop. I’ve always had issues with nightmares, sleep paralysis, etc, but since starting lamotrigine it got a lot worse. like PTSD nightmares on level 1000 waking up so exhausted and horrified all night every night. So my doctor put me on Prazosin, which is used to treat PTSD nightmares. This has worked pretty well nightmare wise and now i’m just having regular bad nightmares, however i have a new issue. I have an odd form of parasomnia which is kind of embarrassing but i’ll leave that to your guessing, but it’s become problematic. I’ve never had a past of parasomnias other than talking a little bit as a child. but this is almost every single night. Does anyone experience parasomnias on this? I really am at a loss of what to do. I don’t know if it’s my lamotrigine or my prazosin or the mix or mental illness or whatever. My doctor really is unsure as it was my psychiatrist who had prescribed them, and i’m no longer with him. and this is kind of a niche problem that my GP has not really encountered. I’ve seen other people talk about how their nightmares/sleep disturbances go away after their body settles or whatever but this is not the case for me.

TLDR: 1.5 years on lamotrigine. been perfect except sleep disturbances will not/have not stopped. What do i do? Have you experienced this?
