Hey everyone,

I’m trying to understand what the Architecture Department (DAP) is actually like. I’ve been hearing some pretty concerning things and wanted to check how true they are.

A few MURP/MArch students told me that many professors are very hectic, and that students often end up doing work tied to their personal or consultancy projects instead of actual coursework. Some even said it feels like students are treated more like slaves than learners.

I’m not sure if this is a common experience or just a few isolated cases, so I wanted to ask here. If you’ve studied there or know someone who has, what has your experience been like?

Is it really worth doing BArch, MURP, or MArch from DAP?

Would appreciate honest opinions, both good and bad.
