I was talking with a friend last night about where people actually *play* small indie games nowadays, and it got me thinking about all these instant-play browser sites popping up.

Context: I’m a broke student with a trash laptop, so I live on web games and low-spec stuff on itch. Lately I’ve been seeing more of those “play 50k+ games in your browser, no download” hubs like https://plix.gg and a few others that embed a bunch of games in one place, sometimes stuff that looks very itch-like.

For devs here who make HTML5/web builds: how do you feel about your games ending up on sites like that? Do you see any traffic back to your itch page, or is it just leeching plays? I might be looking at this the wrong way, but it feels like it could either be great exposure or just… noise.

Do you prefer people to play your web games only on itch, or do you not care as long as someone plays it? And are there any red flags I should watch for before sharing those sites with friends?

I mostly use gt buy as my to go agent and they do the work pretty good too

shipping costed me around 73.58$ with some discounts, they took around 15 days to deliver this to me doorsteps which is ig pretty standard

i tried to keep it minimal and to the point but if anyone has any questions do let me know haha 🙂
