Over the last two years I have watched the scale climb and climb - especially the last year when I turned 40 and it jumped up 20 pounds to 180lb. I was always tiny when I was younger. When I met my husband 11 years ago I was 125lb. I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize myself.

I dieted. I worked out. I dieted and worked out. Nothing would budge the scale. I felt bloated every day for at least a year.

Then a month ago I started reta and it’s been like a true miracle. In 24 hours the bloating was gone. Food was no longer screaming at me as a comfort. My calorie goals were being met. Workouts felt like they were meaningful again. I’m down 10 pounds in a month and I feel like I will be able to get the “me” that I recognize back!

For anyone that’s curious: I pinned 0.5mg every 7 days for a month except this last week I pinned an additional 0.25mg on day three when the food noise was roaring and the scale was climbing. Tomorrow I’ll pin 0.75mg and continue with that for a few weeks. A week ago I also started on MOTS-C with 1mg three times a week and this week I bumped it up to 1.5mg three times a week.

Electrolytes are my best friend along with fiber in a close second! Eating lots of protein, but also plenty of carbs. Low carb seemed to contribute to slower loss in week two. I had a headache after my very first pin but water and electrolytes got rid of it quick. Other than that, no side effects!

I am so thankful for this sub, because I’ll be honest the reta sub and the gym bros are sometimes a little much. Keep going ladies! I am so proud of us!
