My idiot husband took the mattress cover off of our Casper Nova Hybrid mattress, purchased in 2021. He is insisting that as long as we encase it, we can keep the mattress. I think we need to toss it. What are next steps here, not only for the mattress, but as far as cleaning up our room, etc? Thanks.

Edit: to clarify, I am concerned about fiberglass exposure. I have been coughing and sneezing since he removed the cover. I thought it was just due to new wall paint (we just moved in), but now I’m almost certain that is the cause.
