I took the DAT today and it was much harder than expected, did anyone feel the same way? Bio felt very low yield and some questions were unique from anything I’ve seen in the past, and that’s coming from someone who’s retaking and did almost all the Bio exams on both Bootcamp and Booster. There were some questions of minute details on concepts that I feel like I was never exposed to. GC and OC were more doable but still felt more on the difficult side which was surprising to me since I found the actual DAT to be a lot easier than Bootcamp my first time around.

RC I would say was not as straightforward as BC/booster practices and more comprehensive, I usually use search and destroy and that got me a 22 last time, but I’m not feeling as confident here.

QR was also leaning a bit harder than the practices, I typically got over 500 on all my practices but I would say I’m fairly certain I will score lower than that.

PAT was the one thing I felt was easier than practices, Keyholes seemed to but a little bit more complicated and the proportions weren’t as accurate but all the other sections were much easier.

Overall, I’m not feeling super great about it and wondering if I should’ve settled with my first score but I guess only time will tell ;//

What’s the best way to reach out to a school for feedback on your application? I applied this past cycle but am preparing to reapply after being waitlisted by all my interviewed schools. I reached out via email about a month ago when it seemed like this cycle may not pan out for me, but I got many generic messages telling me that I was waitlisted, to be patient, or that feedback was not given until the cycle ends. I was under the impression that the cycle continues until the start of the school year and the next application cycle is opening soon, so I’m not sure how to reach out but I also don’t want to annoy them.. when is the best time and method to receive feedback?
