OK, so this will a highly subjective question I know; I still would like to ask people for their experience/opinion.

I do have a laptop (personal) and a work laptop. I travel somewhat regularly, and honestly it feels like with a larger tablet that is actually a windows machine it would be much easier than chugging two laptops around. (I cannot log into my personal email on my work laptop, let alone use amazon, netflix or whatever else, so I do need something else with me.)

Another use is that I have professional books I need to read/study all the time for my work; laptops are less than ideal for using them as an e-book reader (cluncky with the keyboard, and also heavy). And because these are technical texts with lots of illustations, phone is out of the question. I thought I would use the tablet as an extra screen where I can read next to my laptop. And since I need a tablet-like thing, it may as well be Windows based, so I can use it as a laptop when necessary (and maybe load up some older games from my Steam library, too...).

So this is my reasoning. Do you use your surface pro in a similar way? Does my reasoning make sense? Will it be as practical as I hope it to be? What do you suggest I do? Is it wise to buy refurbished models?

OK, so my children will attend a school there; we are looking for a place to rent/buy. Fulbourn would be the most ideal choice, because it is biking distance from the school, but it is both expensive and there are not many properties available.

If you live in the area, where would be the best to move to from where biking with children is actually be possible, or perhaps where the public transport is actually servicable?

Any pointers, advice you could give knowing the area? Not just commute, anything. (It is incredibly nice, but I found it somewhat expensive...)

Thank you.
