State of my snake? And useful tips?
Hi all! First time BP owner here, let me just preface first off, this setup is temporary (we just moved) and ill be rebuilding this guys enclosure very soon, ALSO. I know the mister isnt the best option, like i said ill be rebuilding, and by rebuilding i mean hopefully a fully new (wider) enclosure that can hold humidity better and open from the front, (and eventually become bioactive) all that being said, i could use some advice about a few things.
- His age or weight, does he look healthy? Every source I consult gives me mixed information and its hard to know if hes in a good range or not, also i got him as a surrender about a year ago so i really dont know how old he could be, if anyone has some insight it would be useful, i know it can be hard to tell if you havent raised them.
- Is he a good weight? I feed kevin about every 2-3 weeks since im not sure roughly how old he is or how much he needs, this seems to be satisfactory to him, but id hate to be accidentally underfeeding the dude since this is really my first time owning a snake, let alone one of his size, hes roughly 4ft now. He seems happy, pretty natural curious, out and exploring or causing trouble just about every night, and i monitor his breathing like a new mom with a teething toddler😅 mainly im just wondering about his weight and possibly age bc finding a vet for him in my area can be tricky. Anything will help just please be respectful, like I said im a first time owner and hes a surrender i got for free, i love him very much, he helped me get sober infact, so i feel like i owe it to him to at least be a little bit of a helicopter mom.
