DFA Data Connections

Hello! My dad’s PSA birth certificate has some errors and we were advised that correcting it may take around 6 months to 1 year. Because of this, we decided to just follow whatever details are reflected in his PSA for his passport application.

However, the errors were already noted by DFA Olongapo and his application was placed under compliance / additional documents. If we try applying at a different DFA branch, will they still be able to see his previous record, compliance status, and submitted documents? Or does each branch handle applications separately?

Would appreciate any similar experiences. Thank you!

Clerical Errors on PSA

Hello! Just wanted to ask how long it took for you to finalize the typo errors on your PSA?

My dad’s PSA has some typographical errors (his father’s name and birthplace), but the LRC copy is correct naman. We also have enough supporting documents already, and the petition for clerical correction has been filed.

They told us the waiting time could take around 6 months to 1 year. Our flight is on September, so we’re just trying to check possible timelines and hear about other people’s experiences. 😅

And yes, we know, “don’t book a flight without a passport” hahaha. We honestly didn’t realize these PSA issues existed until recently.
