So I have quite a specific situation and was wondering if anyone here went through the same. I applied to the Embassy Route for 2026, unfortunately I did not get any LoPA - almost every lab I contacted didn't have capacity for admitting students. So I understood I still could have a chance but my intake was restricted to October.

This April I got an email from my university with information for students arriving in October, however, I still haven't gotten official email from MEXT... and I cannot apply to the 2027 applications because I am "still in the process" for 2026. So I feel quite stuck on whether I will go this October or not, has anyone been in the same situation? Does anyone have a suggestion on what to do?
